Caspers has totaled 400 rushing yards in just two games with the Comets this season. He has five touchdowns with the team and has helped carry them to two victories this season. Caspers also participates in track and field, baseball and attends Faith Bible Chapel. “Deacon brings toughness to our team which shows in the way he plays football,” Charles City head coach Bryan Bjorklund said. “He has grown tremendously as a person from his freshman year to today. This is not limited to his football ability but is also evident in his academics, behaviors and mindset.”

Davis has been one of the top runners on an impressive Mason City team for some time now. She recently ran a 20:07.1 personal best at the Dick Pollitt Classic in Waverly and has proven herself as a top runner in the state. She also participates in basketball, track and field, choir and national honor society. “Savannah has become a fantastic leader for the entire cross-country program,” head coach Tyler Ketelsen said. “She is a great teammate, works incredibly hard at her craft and sets a great example for the team each and every day. Savannah is leaving her mark on the cross-country program as one of the best to ever wear the MCXC jersey.”

The Lake Mills senior Eastvold leads her team in kills, averaging 2.8 kills per set at .177 efficiency. She also has five aces for her team this season with 53 successful serves with 91.4% efficiency. Eastvold also participates in track and field where she was a state qualifier in the high jump, the 100-meter dash, the 4×100-meter relay and the 4×200-meter relay. “Avery brings great leadership and knowledge of the game,” head coach Brook Christianson said. “She is often the one speaking in huddles about what she notices on the court and pointing out strategies and points of emphasis to focus on during a game or practice.”
Michael Solberg-Maas
Solberg-Maas brings a great game every time he steps foot on a course. Solberg averages a 75 on 18-hole courses and knows the game as well as anybody. He also participates in the bowling team, mountain biking club and band. “Michael is a very talented and intelligent golfer,” head coach Troy Rood said. “He understands the game at a high level but is always looking to learn. He is mentally strong on the course. He has the rare ability to let go of the last shot and move on to the next one.”
Dax Suntken
Suntken has been one of the focal points of the West Fork football team. He has five touchdowns with 189 yards and two successful two-point conversions. He also has four solo tackles and three tackles for loss. He also participates in basketball, track and field and baseball. “Dax always brings a smile on his face and a great personality to liven up the team,” West Fork head coach Daniel Westhoff said. “His work ethic has matched his immense talent and that’s why he’s having a great season so far. In the field he’s versatile and dependable.”
