San Antonio Spurs rookie Harrison Ingram was among the players on hand over the weekend to watch No. 2 Texas host the University of Texas at San Antonio at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin.
Ingram was pictured on the sidelines for the matchup, along with many of his teammates, including Stephon Castle, Keldon Johnson, Jeremy Sochan and Devin Vassell, among others. Johnson donned a UTSA jersey, while Vassell represented the home team.
The group was treated to a dominating 56-7 victory by the Longhorns, who moved up to No. 1 in the AP poll on Sunday. Quarterback Arch Manning stepped in for the injured Quinn Ewers and passed for 223 yards and four touchdowns, while adding another on the ground.
Ingram was the 48th pick in the NBA draft after averaging 12.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.4 steals last season as a junior at North Carolina. He was named to the All-ACC third team after ranking third in the conference in total rebounds (327).
The 21-year-old debuted with the Spurs in summer league, averaging 10 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists on 40.6% shooting from 3-point range in seven appearances between California and Las Vegas. He scored in double figures four times, including 16 points and 10 rebounds on July 9.
Ingram will split his time this season between the NBA and the G League after signing a two-way contract. He is eligible to be active for up to 50 games in the NBA and will earn a flat salary equal to 50% of the minimum salary applicable to a player with zero years of service.
