    Brazil stocks lower at close of trade; Bovespa down 0.30% By Investing.com

    Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

    At the close in Sao Paulo, the lost 0.30% to hit a new 1-month low.

    The best performers of the session on the were Santos Brasil Participacoes SA (BVMF:), which rose 16.44% or 2.09 points to trade at 14.80 at the close. Meanwhile, WEG SA (BVMF:) added 3.43% or 1.80 points to end at 54.32 and Embraer SA (BVMF:) was up 2.20% or 1.06 points to 49.31 in late trade.

    The worst performers of the session were YDUQS Participacoes SA (BVMF:), which fell 5.34% or 0.53 points to trade at 9.40 at the close. Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais SA USIMINAS Pref (BVMF:) declined 4.76% or 0.28 points to end at 5.60 and Vibra Energia SA (BVMF:) was down 4.04% or 1.00 points to 23.78.

    Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 529 to 417 and 54 ended unchanged.

    Shares in Santos Brasil Participacoes SA (BVMF:) rose to all time highs; gaining 16.44% or 2.09 to 14.80. Shares in YDUQS Participacoes SA (BVMF:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.34% or 0.53 to 9.40. Shares in WEG SA (BVMF:) rose to all time highs; up 3.43% or 1.80 to 54.32. Shares in Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais SA USIMINAS Pref (BVMF:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 4.76% or 0.28 to 5.60.

    The , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 2.56% to 26.89.

    Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.23% or 6.15 to $2,652.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.66% or 0.47 to hit $70.53 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 5.00% or 12.55 to trade at $263.30 .

    USD/BRL was up 0.52% to 5.54, while EUR/BRL rose 1.58% to 6.15.

    The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 100.62.
