Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall for a handful of GLC models due to faulty welds on their integral carriers. The issue stems from a deviation in the production process at the supplier of the welding material, Safra S.p.A. of Italy.

While only four vehicles are affected in the United States, Mercedes has taken swift action to address the potential safety hazard. The affected vehicles will have their integral carriers replaced at no cost to the owners.

The automaker has emphasized the importance of this recall, noting that faulty welds could lead to catastrophic loss of vehicle control. Mercedes is committed to ensuring the safety of its customers and has taken steps to prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.
