The Chevrolet Silverado has entered its 2025 model year in the United States with a few minor updates and a slightly higher price tag. Starting at $38,995, including the destination fee, the base Silverado is $200 more expensive than its 2024 predecessor. Despite the price increase, it remains the most affordable full-size truck in the segment, undercutting competitors like the Toyota Tundra, Ford F-150, and Ram 1500.

While the base model offers a competitive price point, higher trims come with a significant premium. The Custom and Custom Trail Boss start at $45,595 and $53,795 respectively, while the LT and LT Trail Boss are priced at $50,095 and $60,795. For those seeking even more luxury and capability, the RST, LTZ, and High Country start at $53,495, $59,695, and $64,695 respectively. The top-of-the-line ZR2, known for its off-road prowess, begins at $71,995.

New exterior colors like Cypress Gray and Riptide Blue join the palette, while new 20-inch alloy wheels with a high-gloss finish are available. The WT grade now includes cruise control, and the LT and higher trims get a trailer brake controller.

The off road focused ZR2 gains front and rear park assist and a premium audio system at no extra cost. Under the hood, the 2025 Silverado retains its engine lineup.

    Options include a 2.7L turbocharged four cylinder engine producing 310 horsepower and 430 pound feet of torque, a 5.3L V8 producing 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, a 6.2L V8 producing 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and a 3.0L turbodiesel producing 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque.

The 2.7L engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the 3.0L, 5.3L, and 6.2L engines are paired with a ten speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy varies depending on the specific configuration and powertrain.

The base model with 2WD gets an estimated 19 mpg city and 22 mpg highway, while the 4WD model gets an estimated 18 mpg city and 21 mpg highway. The Silverado’s towing capacity also varies depending on the engine and configuration, but it can tow up to 12,000 pounds.

The Silverado offers a variety of features and options, including a heated steering wheel, heated and cooled seats, a wireless charging pad, and a large touchscreen infotainment system.
