The 2025 Ram 1500 received a significant refresh, showcasing sleeker front-end styling and, more importantly, a new powertrain.
The familiar Hemi V-8 has been replaced by a twin-turbocharged inline-six engine, available in two versions, producing either 420 or 540 horsepower.
Now, Ram has announced updates for its 2025 heavy-duty (HD) lineup, offering a first look through a series of images.
As with the half-ton models, the updated Ram HD maintains its rugged, handsome appearance but with a more streamlined and modern front end.
The bulky headlights of the outgoing model have been redesigned into two thinner elements integrated into the grille.
The off-road-focused Rebel model, pictured, features a blacked-out grille with a mask-like design, along with vertical and horizontal strakes.
The lower bumper of the Rebel seems to remain unchanged. At the rear, the taillights have a simplified design featuring C-shaped LED units, though other rear changes are minimal.
In addition to the Rebel images, Ram also shared a front view of three trucks, including a white chassis-cab model and a red, more luxurious version.
The white truck, likely a base-level Tradesman, sports a simpler grille with horizontal lines and halogen headlights instead of LEDs.
Meanwhile, the red truck, possibly a Laramie or Longhorn, is outfitted with chrome detailing on the grille and a body-colored grille surround, offering a more upscale look compared to the blacked-out Rebel.
Ram has yet to reveal technical details about the 2025 HD models. While the twin-turbo inline-six from the light-duty trucks may find its way into some HD variants, it’s possible that the 6.4-liter V-8 will continue to power certain versions.
The Cummins 6.7-liter turbo-diesel inline-six is confirmed to return for the new HD lineup, though any updates to the engine’s performance remain unclear.
The 2025 Ram 1500 also received significant interior enhancements, which are expected to extend to the HD models.
The standard 8.4-inch touchscreen from the 2024 versions has been replaced by a 12.0-inch unit, with an optional 14.5-inch display and a 10.3-inch screen for the front passenger. Further details about the 2025 Ram HD lineup are expected in the coming months.
