The 1967 Ford Mustang, despite its redesign, struggled to compete against newer rivals like the Camaro and Firebird. Sales totaled around 472,000 units, with hardtops accounting for the majority.

The convertible, though the most expensive at $2,686, was the rarest with only 44,808 units sold. The engine lineup remained largely unchanged, except for the new 390ci engine, which proved popular with over 28,800 orders.

A 1967 Mustang recently appeared on eBay, advertised as a restoration project. However, the car’s condition suggests it may be better suited as a parts donor. Extensive rust damage is evident, requiring new floors, quarters, and likely the trunk pan. The car’s long term neglect is apparent, and it will require significant work to return it to roadworthy condition.

The Mustang in question, a rough project with a missing drivetrain, is currently parked in a Norco, California junkyard. The seller, who has not specified the extent of missing parts, is asking for $4,000. Despite its condition, the car has already attracted the attention of 7 potential buyers.

While the engine is gone, the rest of the car might still be valuable for parts. However, it’s essential to verify its completeness before making an offer. Given the car’s condition and the need for a trailer, it’s crucial to act quickly as the listing will expire in five days.
