In the US, you have two versions of the Lotus Emira to choose from: the base four-cylinder model or the V-6. The base model, powered by an AMG-sourced engine, produces a respectable 360 horsepower, while the V-6 offers a more robust 400 horsepower.
However, in certain international markets—specifically Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa—a more powerful four-cylinder variant is available for 2025.
This new Lotus Emira SE retains the same turbocharged 2.0-liter AMG four-cylinder engine, but now it generates 400 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque—a boost of 40 horsepower and 37 lb-ft over the previous version.
Notably, this increase brings the SE’s horsepower in line with the V-6 Emira. Unfortunately, the four-cylinder SE is only available with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, while the V-6 continues to offer a manual option.
Thanks to the power increase, the Emira Turbo SE achieves a quicker 0-62 mph time of 4.0 seconds, compared to 4.3 seconds for the standard Turbo model.
The SE also boasts a higher top speed, reaching 180 mph, which is 11 mph faster than the standard Turbo trim.
The Lotus Drivers Pack comes standard with the SE, featuring a stiffer Sport suspension, cross-drilled and ventilated two-piece brakes, and launch control.
Visually, the Emira Turbo SE stands out with a new 20-inch “V-Spoke” wheel design, red brake calipers, special ‘Emira Turbo SE’ badging, darkened Lotus logos, and blacked-out exhaust tips.
Inside, the upgrades continue with an Alcantara headliner, adding a premium touch to the interior.
As for whether the Emira Turbo SE will be available in the US, that remains uncertain. We’ve reached out to Lotus for confirmation.
For now, US buyers can still opt for the base Turbo four-cylinder model or the supercharged V-6. Pricing for the base Turbo starts at $99,900, while the V-6 is priced at $105,400.
