The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado has arrived with minimal changes, including a slight price increase for most models. The base WT trim now starts at $38,995, up from $38,795. Other trims like the LT Trail Boss, RST, LTZ, and ZR2 have also seen minor price hikes. The LT Trail Boss, in particular, has experienced the most significant increase, now starting at $60,795.

While the price has gone up, the 2025 Silverado offers a few new features. These include two new paint colors, Riptide Blue Metallic and Cypress Gray. Additionally, the CGN spray on bedliner now features the Chevrolet bowtie logo, and the 4WD Crew Cab with a fleet or government sales order is now E85 compatible. However, the 2WD trucks with the 5.3-liter engine have lost their corn brew capability.

Another notable change is the introduction of standard cruise control for the WT trim. Unfortunately, the Custom-exclusive Dark Appearance Package has been discontinued, removing the option for black decals, badging, and exhaust tips. The 2025 Silverado remains largely unchanged, offering the same reliable performance and features as its predecessor.

The Silverado 1500 has received several upgrades for the 2025 model year. Front and Rear Park Assist is now standard on the ZR2, previously only available on the Bison version of the off-road trim level. Additionally, the JL1 trailer brake controller is now standard on the LT, RST, and LT Trail Boss.

Under the hood, the Silverado 1500 continues to offer a choice of three engines: a 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, a 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel six-cylinder, and a 5.3-liter naturally aspirated V8. The base four-cylinder engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, while the Duramax diesel and the V8 engines feature 10-speed transmissions.

The 2.7 liter turbocharged four cylinder engine, known as TurboMax, produces 310 horsepower and 430 pound feet of torque. The 3.0 liter Duramax diesel engine produces 305 horsepower and 495 pound feet of torque. The 5.3 liter V8 engine produces 355 horsepower and 383 pound feet of torque.

The 6.2 liter V8 engine, which is only available on the High Country trim level, produces 420 horsepower and 460 pound feet of torque. The maximum towing capacity of the Silverado 1500 is 13,300 pounds with the Duramax diesel or 6.2 liter V8 engines and 2,260 pounds with the base four cylinder engine. The maximum payload capacity is 2,260 pounds with the base four cylinder engine and 1,770 pounds with the Duramax diesel or 6.2-liter V8 engines.
