Gran Turismo 7 is set to receive a new update next week, bringing with it a fresh batch of vehicles. As usual, Kazunori Yamauchi has teased the upcoming additions with enigmatic silhouettes.
While fans eagerly speculate about the potential lineup, the gaming community is also eager to see how Gran Turismo 7 will leverage the power of the PlayStation 5 Pro, which is set to launch on November 7.
According to Digital Foundry, the PlayStation 5 Pro version of Gran Turismo 7 offers two new modes. The first, and perhaps most intriguing, is the 4K Ray Tracing mode. This mode introduces real time car reflections, adding a layer of realism to the gameplay.
However, it’s worth noting that while cars reflect the environment, buildings and other track elements do not. It remains unclear if this limitation will be addressed in future updates. The second mode, Image Quality Priority or 8K/60fps, utilizes Sony’s new upscaling technology, PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), to achieve a “fake” 8K resolution.
To fully experience this mode, you’ll need an 8K display. While there’s no concrete information regarding the PlayStation VR2 version, it’s reasonable to expect that the Pro’s enhanced hardware will translate into improved visuals and performance.
While the Hiace may not be known for its performance, it’s a beloved choice for those seeking a versatile and reliable vehicle, often converted into cozy camper vans. The Lancer, on the other hand, is a legendary sports car renowned for its powerful turbocharged engine and agile handling.
The 2024 Nissan GT-R, with its updated aerodynamics and impressive power output, promises to deliver an exhilarating driving experience. As we eagerly await more details about this exciting update, it’s clear that Gran Turismo 7 continues to expand its diverse lineup of vehicles, offering something for every driving enthusiast.
