The fourth generation Elantra, sold in 2008, was donated to a Canadian TV show, “Roulez au Suivant.” With the car came 100 parts, providing the show’s team with ample materials for a complete restoration. Under the guidance of automotive expert Antoine Joubert, the Elantra transformed.
The 2008 Hyundai Elantra, a car that had traveled an astonishing one million kilometers, was gifted to a lucky 16-year-old. Eloic Lachance, from Rougemont, Quebec, became the proud owner of this remarkable vehicle after a rigorous selection process. The car had undergone extensive restoration, including mechanical and electronic repairs, bodywork, and cabin refurbishment, to ensure it was in pristine condition.
Despite its impressive mileage, the car’s performance was still remarkable, impressing even the host of the restoration show. The journey of this Elantra was a testament to its durability and reliability. It had been driven by Mr. Jocelyn Roy, a delivery driver, for several years, accumulating an average of 107,000 kilometers per year. When the car approached the one million kilometer mark, Mr. Roy sold it to a dealership, which later sold it to Hyundai Canada.
The car was then restored and gifted to Eloic Lachance as part of a competition. Eloic’s excitement was palpable as he received the keys to his new car. He had applied for the competition along with hundreds of others, and his name was ultimately selected by the Roulez au Suivant team. The car would be his first, and he was eager to start on new adventures behind the wheel.
