Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session on the were Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:), which rose 3.09% or 0.16 points to trade at 5.34 at the close. Meanwhile, A2A SpA (BIT:) added 3.02% or 0.06 points to end at 2.08 and Ferrari NV (BIT:) was up 2.60% or 10.80 points to 426.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telecom Italia (BIT:), which fell 4.63% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.24 at the close. Stellantis NV (BIT:) declined 2.77% or 0.34 points to end at 11.86 and Nexi SpA (BIT:) was down 0.96% or 0.06 points to 5.81.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 265 to 205 and 54 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.09% or 0.16 to 5.34. Shares in Stellantis NV (BIT:) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.77% or 0.34 to 11.86.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.78% or 0.59 to $75.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.68% or 0.54 to hit $78.86 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.44% or 37.95 to trade at $2,677.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 102.66.
