Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the rose 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the were Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV:), which rose 6.58% or 0.81 points to trade at 13.12 at the close. Meanwhile, Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:) added 3.90% or 2.07 points to end at 55.16 and Grupo Financiero Banorte (BMV:) was up 2.32% or 3.38 points to 148.97 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV (BMV:), which fell 4.67% or 0.96 points to trade at 19.61 at the close. Banco Del Bajio SA Institution De Banca Multiple (BMV:) declined 3.52% or 1.57 points to end at 43.00 and Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:) was down 2.59% or 0.23 points to 8.64.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 135 to 88 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.51% or 13.70 to $2,679.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 3.78% or 2.79 to hit $71.04 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.05% or 0.04 to trade at $74.73 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.20% to 19.72, while EUR/MXN rose 0.14% to 21.48.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 103.01.
