A 1957 Chevy two-door Post, reimagined as a sinister speed machine, the Rotten Banana is a testament to the power of restomodding. Its vintage yellow patina, a stark contrast to its modern performance, hints at its dual nature.

While its exterior maintains the classic charm of the Tri-Five era, its interior and engine bay tell a different story. Inside, the Rotten Banana is a stark departure from the original. The once simple bench seats have been replaced with modern, performance oriented bucket seats.

The dashboard has been upgraded with a custom instrument cluster, and the entire interior has been wrapped in high-quality leather. The result is a luxurious yet sporty cabin that is perfectly suited for both cruising and track driving.

Under the hood, the Rotten Banana is a beast. A twin turbocharged engine pumps out an incredible 1,300 horsepower, which is sent to the rear wheels through a manual transmission.

The car is capable of mind boggling acceleration, and its top speed is only limited by the driver’s courage. The Rotten Banana is a true performance machine that will leave any driver grinning from ear to ear.

The creator of this extraordinary machine claims the first gear is useless, the second is partially functional, and the third propels the car like a rocket. Though specific details are scarce, the passengers’ reactions to the acceleration are a clear indicator of the immense power.

A modified LS7 engine, a Tremec T-56 manual transmission, a Holly manifold, a Tick Performance intercooler, and 3D printed 90 degree manifolds connected to Drive by Wire throttle bodies are primarily responsible for this remarkable performance.

The car is built on a Fast Track Tri-Five Roadster Shop custom chassis. The 1957 Chevy features digital gauges and a stock steering wheel. A pump and a tank in the back supply compressed air, which is regulated by the Holly EFI to control the boost.

The combination of these elements results in a vehicle that is both visually stunning and incredibly powerful. The car’s unique design and advanced technology make it a standout among its peers.
