Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Stellantis NV (BIT:), which rose 3.00% or 0.36 points to trade at 12.38 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics (BIT:) added 1.82% or 0.47 points to end at 26.03 and Hera (BIT:) was up 1.39% or 0.05 points to 3.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:), which fell 3.13% or 0.16 points to trade at 5.08 at the close. Telecom Italia (BIT:) declined 2.41% or 0.01 points to end at 0.24 and Bper Banca SpA (BIT:) was down 1.92% or 0.11 points to 5.61.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 286 to 205 and 50 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.73% or 1.24 to $70.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.70% or 1.29 to hit $74.75 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.95% or 26.30 to trade at $2,733.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.19% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 104.30.
