General Motors is issuing a recall for 1,962 2024 GMC Sierra EV electric trucks due to a defect in the headlamp component. A Marelli-produced LED driver module, part number 13559401, fails to provide the necessary brightness distinction between the turn signal and parking lamps, which could potentially lead to confusion among drivers.

This issue was identified on August 21, 2024, and GM is now rectifying the problem by replacing the faulty modules at no expense to affected owners. The recall impacts vehicles manufactured between December 7, 2023, and September 9, 2024, and owner notification letters will be mailed on November 25, 2024.

The defective headlamp component could pose a safety hazard if drivers are unable to clearly distinguish between the turn signal and parking lamps, potentially leading to accidents. GM has taken swift action to address this issue by recalling the affected vehicles and replacing the faulty modules with corrected parts.

This recall serves as a reminder of the importance of regular vehicle inspections and timely recalls to ensure the safety of drivers and pedestrians on the road. The GMC Sierra EV Denali, while not as rugged as the Hummer EV pickup, stands out as the most luxurious battery electric pickup truck available today.

Starting at $89,900 for the 2025 Denali trim, it offers a powerful electric drivetrain with 754 horsepower and 785 pound feet of torque. Initially equipped with a 205 kWh battery, the Sierra EV Denali now comes standard with a 170-kWh battery, providing a driving range of up to 390 miles. The optional 205 kWh battery extends the range to 460 miles, making it one of the longest-range electric pickups on the market.

With its luxurious interior, advanced technology features, and impressive performance, the Sierra EV Denali offers a premium electric driving experience. The truck’s spacious cabin features high quality materials and ample legroom for both front and rear passengers. The Denali trim also includes a large touchscreen display for infotainment, navigation, and vehicle settings.

In addition to its impressive range and luxurious features, the Sierra EV Denali offers a smooth and quiet ride. The electric motors provide instant torque, resulting in quick acceleration and effortless passing. The truck’s suspension is well tuned for both on-road comfort and off road capability.
