Stellantis, while grappling with the reality of discontinued models, is also embracing its rich automotive heritage. The automaker recently announced the discontinuation of the Dodge Caravan and Fiat 500X, yet these models still linger in quarterly sales reports as “zombie cars.”
Simultaneously, Stellantis Heritage revealed the Alfa Romeo 4C Collezione GT Nicola Larini, a trio of stunning mid-engine sports cars. These vehicles, built from older 4Cs, pay homage to Italian racing legend Nicola Larini, whose career highlights include the 1992 Italian Superturismo Championship, the 1993 Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft, and a class win at the 2012 Nürburgring 24 Hours.
The 4C Collezione GT Nicola Larini, part of the Reloaded by Creators project, features three distinct liveries inspired by the iconic Alfa Romeo Giulia GT of the 1970s. The Alfa Romeo 4C Quattroporte, a limited-edition tribute to the iconic 4C, is a testament to the car’s enduring legacy.
This special edition boasts a unique Biscione logo, Larini’s signature on the hood and dashboard, bespoke upholstery, and lightweight alloy wheels. While Stellantis Heritage remains tight-lipped about pricing and specific orders, it’s clear that these vehicles will command a premium.
Produced in limited numbers from 2013 to 2020 at Maserati’s Modena plant, the 4C’s carbon-fiber chassis and aluminum subframes contributed to its lightweight design, weighing in at a mere 107 kilograms.
Powering the 4C was Alfa Romeo’s 1.75-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, shared with other models like the Spider, Brera, Giulietta, and 159. The 4C’s production ceased in the US in 2018 for the Coupe and 2020 for the Spider.
