Looking for a work truck that truly stands out? You’re in luck. Featured on AutoHunter is a 22,000-mile 1991 Dodge Ram 350 4WD, currently being offered by a dealer in St. Louis, Missouri. This rare find is up for auction, which will conclude on Friday.

While red paint is commonly seen on sports cars and exotics, it’s not a shade you usually find on pickup trucks.

According to the listing, this truck was originally ordered for a fire department, making its color and features even more unique.

Enhancing its bold appearance are additions like a Buckstop front bumper, a color-matched shell, and 16-inch black wheels wrapped in robust General Grabber tires.

The first generation of the Dodge Ram pickup, built on the Chrysler AD platform, was produced from 1981 through 1993.

A sales training video from 1991 described these trucks, stating, “Dodge Ram pickup trucks deliver strength and value – a necessary combination when answering a truck buyer’s needs.”

    With a wide range of needs in mind, Dodge offered options from a light-duty 150 half-ton model to a heavy-duty, Cummins diesel-powered one-ton 350.

Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) ratings reached up to five tons, ensuring that there was a Ram model to fit nearly any job.

    Today’s featured 350 is a one-ton, four-wheel-drive truck powered by a 360ci V8 engine, paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case.

Dodge’s factory specs rated this combination at 190 horsepower and 292 lb-ft of torque when new.

According to the listing, this truck has a towing capacity of 10,400 pounds, and it’s equipped with a Kelsey-Hayes trailer brake controller.

In other words, this Ram is built to handle any task, whether hauling or towing is needed. The truck’s CARFAX report is clean, showing a history of ownership in Illinois from new, along with its current odometer reading of 22,741 miles.

Even more intriguing is the truck’s minimal mileage accumulation over recent years. Back in 2013, the mileage was recorded at 22,183.

This means that over the last 11 years, the truck has only been driven 558 miles. It would be interesting to know the story behind this exceptionally low usage.

Fortunately, earlier this year, the truck received maintenance work on the distributor, battery, and charging system, ensuring it’s ready to hit the road without hesitation.

The auction for this 22,000-mile 1991 Dodge Ram 350 4WD will end on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. (MST).
