Joining the ranks of Toyota and BMW, Hyundai reinforces its belief in hydrogen’s role in the future of clean transportation with the Intium concept. Unlike its competitors, Hyundai already boasts commercially available hydrogen-powered vehicles, making them a frontrunner in FCEV technology.

Revealed as a potential successor to the Nexo and ix35 FCEVs, the Intium serves as a look into Hyundai’s vision for hydrogen mobility. Debuting at both the Los Angeles Auto Show and Auto Guangzhou next month, the Intium signifies Hyundai’s commitment to this technology.

The concept car paves the way for a production model expected in the first half of 2025, building upon Hyundai’s 27 years of experience in FCEVs. Hyundai is pushing the boundaries of hydrogen fuel cell technology with its latest concept, the Intium.

This sleek SUV showcases the automaker’s innovative ‘Art of Steel’ design language, a bold new aesthetic that embodies the future of hydrogen mobility.

The Intium offers an impressive range of over 650 kilometers, thanks to larger hydrogen tanks and a more powerful electric motor.

Inside, the spacious cabin prioritizes passenger comfort with reclining seats and ample legroom. Hyundai is also addressing practical concerns, such as refueling convenience, with a dedicated FCEV route planner.

Additionally, Intium’s Vehicle to-Load (V2L) functionality allows it to power external devices, further enhancing its versatility. With this groundbreaking concept, Hyundai reaffirms its commitment to hydrogen as a clean and sustainable energy solution for the future.
