Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session on the were Jenn Feng New Energy Co Ltd (TW:), which rose 70.12% or 11.92 points to trade at 28.92 at the close. Meanwhile, Epileds Technologies Inc (TW:) added 10.00% or 3.35 points to end at 36.85 and Microtek International Inc (TW:) was up 10.00% or 1.45 points to 15.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shin Tai Industry Co Ltd (TW:), which fell 6.19% or 5.10 points to trade at 77.30 at the close. Arima Communications Corp (TW:) declined 4.23% or 0.80 points to end at 18.10 and Kuangli Photoelectric Technology Co Ltd (TW:) was down 3.44% or 0.50 points to 14.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.11% or 0.08 to $70.18 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.08% or 0.06 to hit $73.23 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 4.94 to trade at $2,640.44 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.20% to 32.74, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.18% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 107.94.
