The Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Oasis International, Bose Odueke, is set to launch her latest book, Steps to Your Personal Financial Freedom, on March 8, 2025.
A statement noted that the book aims to serve as a practical guide for individuals seeking financial stability, particularly immigrants and young professionals in Canada.
The launch event will take place at 2 p.m. EST (8 p.m. Nigerian time) in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
It will also be accessible virtually via Zoom, allowing international participants—especially Nigerians—to attend. The event will feature a discussion with the author, networking opportunities, and a book signing session for attendees.
Odueke, a seasoned financial expert with over 40 years of experience in investment, financial planning, insurance brokerage, and tax consultancy across Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and Canada, said the book addresses key financial challenges facing adults and immigrants.
“With financial security remaining a critical challenge for adults and immigrants in Canada, Steps to Your Personal Financial Freedom provides a comprehensive roadmap to financial stability,” Odueke stated.
“The book is designed to help newcomers, young professionals, and adults navigate Canada’s financial landscape, covering essential topics such as smart saving habits, wealth-building strategies, and financial independence.”
She further noted that financial literacy is crucial for newcomers, who often struggle with credit systems, investment decisions, and long-term financial planning in their new environment.
According to her, the book offers step-by-step guidance on setting financial goals, budgeting effectively, and making informed investment choices.
Odueke, a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London, a Certified Financial Planner, and a Professional Business Accountant in Canada, has dedicated much of her career to financial education.
She has organised several financial literacy programmes to help individuals and families gain control over their finances.
Her book draws from her real-life experiences, offering practical insights tailored to help immigrants and aspiring migrants avoid common financial pitfalls.
She emphasised that understanding financial systems early is key to achieving long-term stability and independence.
“The author’s expertise and passion for financial education make her book a valuable resource, particularly for Nigerians in the diaspora and those planning to relocate. Interested participants can register for the virtual launch through a dedicated online platform,” the statement said.
