YOKOHAMA, Japan, March 26, 2025–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Yokohama City Visitors Bureau (YCVB) has launched five exclusive programs tailored for conference and event participants. These immersive experiences are designed to be meaningful and eco-conscious, with each one incorporating sustainable elements, such as optional carbon offsets and measures to mitigate food waste to minimize environmental impact, all while preserving cultural heritage.

Learn All About Japan’s World-Renowned Disaster Preparedness
On the Disaster Prevention Experience Tour, participants can gain a thorough understanding of Japan’s well-regarded disaster-readiness practices. The tour includes interactive training in earthquake and fire response at the Yokohama Citizens Disaster Prevention Center. A calming Zen meditation session follows at Yokoin Temple, a historic sanctuary with a 300-year legacy—which also serves as an important evacuation hub.

Strengthen Team Bonds in an Inclusive Social Circus Program
The Social Circus Program, an engaging team-building experience that is officially certified by Cirque du Soleil, encourages collaboration through interactive activities, such as ball passing, plate spinning, and human puzzles—open to all levels of ability.

Enjoy Other Tours Unique to Yokohama
The other three newly developed tours all resonate with the cultural legacy of Yokohama:

    • Take a deep dive into Japan’s culinary traditions and geisha culture on the Japanese Culture & Kaiseki Dining Tour.

    • Discover locally sourced food and sustainable practices on the Yokohama Central Wholesale Market Early-Morning Tour.

    • Jump aboard a mobile beer bar and explore the city on the Craft-Beer Bike Experience Tour, a fun and unusual way to learn about Yokohama’s beer legacy.

With these innovative programs, YCVB is redefining the business-events experience, positioning Yokohama as a premier sustainable-event destination while showcasing the city’s special charm and commitment to responsible tourism.

About the Yokohama City Visitors Bureau:
The role of the Yokohama City Visitors Bureau (YCVB) is to employ the wealth of resources existing in the City of Yokohama and Kanagawa Prefecture to promote the region as an ideal destination for both tourists and international conventions. In this way, the YCVB is contributing to the reinvigoration of the City of Yokohama and surrounding areas and the advancement of its globalization.
