IBK Investment & Securities will revitalize the carbon credit market to achieve its carbon reduction goal.
IBK Investment & Securities announced on the 30th that it has signed a “strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with NICE P&I, an asset evaluation company affiliated with NICE Group, to revitalize the carbon credits market and prepare evaluation standards.
NICE P&I is an institution specializing in market valuation and fair value assessment of financial products, alternative investment assets.
IBK Investment & Securities is taking the lead in discovering new growth engines in sustainable investment areas such as domestic and foreign carbon emission business development and domestic environmental energy derivatives brokerage transactions, including EU carbon emission rights.
Through this agreement, the two companies promised a wide range of cooperation, including the establishment of a carbon emission assessment model based on international certification authority standards, the development of an international reduction business platform, and the planning and launch of emission allowance financial products (funds, bonds, etc.).
The two companies plan to contribute to revitalizing the private-centered carbon emission market and achieving carbon reduction goals and support the expansion of the base of the domestic ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management ecosystem.
