Kelli Grant has been named senior personal finance editor at CNBC.
She has been deputy personal finance editor for the past three years, reporting to Jim Pavia, who recently left.
Grant spent more than three years as a senior editor at Grow. Before Grow, she served as a personal finance reporter for CNBC.com. Previously, she worked as the senior consumer reporter at MarketWatch and SmartMoney.
Her work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance and Good Housekeeping, among other publications.
Grant holds a master’s degree in personal financial planning from Kansas State University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ithaca College. She is one of only a handful of working journalists to have earned the Certified Financial Planner designation, which recognizes financial advisors who meet education, experience and ethics requirements.
