Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the added 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the were Iveco Group NV (BIT:), which rose 10.73% or 0.99 points to trade at 10.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Bpm SpA (BIT:) added 8.97% or 0.57 points to end at 6.88 and Interpump Group (BIT:) was up 5.96% or 2.44 points to 43.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Prysmian SpA (BIT:), which fell 3.77% or 2.38 points to trade at 60.82 at the close. Snam SpA (BIT:) declined 3.14% or 0.14 points to end at 4.19 and Intesa Sanpaolo SpA (BIT:) was down 2.95% or 0.12 points to 3.86.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 328 to 216 and 51 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banco Bpm SpA (BIT:) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 8.97% or 0.57 to 6.88.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.52% or 0.37 to $72.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.59% or 0.44 to hit $75.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.01% or 26.95 to trade at $2,703.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.57% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.19% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.59% at 104.36.
