When speaking to PEOPLE back in May, the mom of two said it’s important for her and Shepard to model healthy behavior for their kids in all regards, and revealed one household rule they’ll never change.
“We always make up in front of them if anyone gets snarky or frustrated or fights, which we all do,” she said. “We do not have the makeup, our conflict resolution, be behind closed doors.
She continued, “Even if at dinner, let’s say, one of us is frustrated and is a little snarky and then we go to bed. We’ll apologize to each other the next morning.”
“Then we will apologize and make amends to each other in front of the kids so that they can see how conflict resolution actually happens,” the actress shared.
