Investing.com – Russia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session on the were Magnit (MCX:), which rose 6.25% or 335.00 points to trade at 5,694.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Aeroflot (MCX:) added 5.15% or 2.54 points to end at 51.83 and Magnitogorskiy Metallurgicheskiy Kombinat PAO (MCX:) was up 3.98% or 1.77 points to 46.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Polyus PAO (MCX:), which fell 0.73% or 96.50 points to trade at 13,176.50 at the close. Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank OAO (MCX:) declined 0.61% or 0.04 points to end at 6.14 and Ros Agro PLC (MCX:) was down 0.52% or 6.20 points to 1,182.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 181 to 61 and 13 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was down 0.10% to 30.50.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.48% or 12.60 to $2,596.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.35% or 0.93 to hit $69.95 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.14% or 0.10 to trade at $73.78 a barrel.
USD/RUB was unchanged 0.00% to 91.50, while EUR/RUB rose 0.01% to 101.70.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 100.67.
