The Ford F-Series Super Duty has received minor updates for the 2025 model year, including the introduction of a new Platinum Plus Package. This optional package adds several luxury features to the already premium Platinum trim level. The 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 turbo diesel remains an optional upgrade for all trims.
The engines deliver impressive power and torque figures, with the 6.8-liter producing 405 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque, and the 7.3-liter generating 430 horsepower and 485 pound-feet of torque. The Power Stroke High Output engine, exclusive to the Super Duty, offers a substantial 500 horsepower and 1,200 pound-feet of torque.
Ford claims best-in-class towing and payload capacities, with a maximum towing capacity of 8,000 pounds and a maximum payload capacity of 40,000 pounds. The XL trim is now available with a trailer brake controller for the 2025 model year.
