Image source: Getty Images The Rolls-Royce (LSE: RR) share price has gone bananas since CEO Tufan Erginbilgic took over. It’s up 525% over two years and 138% over 12 months. No FTSE 100 stock comes close to matching that. But with a market cap of £47bn and price-to-earnings ratio of 40.2, it’s inevitable that Rolls-Royce shares will slow. On 7 November, it confirmed that full-year 2024 underlying operating profit is on course to hit between £2.1bn and…

It was a bracing loss, given the state is run by a high-profile Democratic governor who expanded voting rights and it had only backed a Republican president once before in the past 22 years – Trump in 2016, and then by fewer than 11,000 votes. What happened in Michigan highlights issues that ail…

By Phil Stewart and Idrees Ali WASHINGTON (Reuters) – During his campaign for re-election, Donald Trump vowed to purge the military of so-called “woke” generals. Now that he is president-elect, the question in the halls of the Pentagon is whether he would go much further. Trump is expected to have a far darker view of his military leaders in his second term, after facing Pentagon resistance over everything from his skepticism toward NATO to his readiness to deploy troops to quell protests on U.S. streets. Trump’s former U.S. generals and defense secretaries are among his fiercest critics, some branding him…

Image source: Getty Images Billionaire investor Warren Buffett has a tremendous track record of buying undervalued shares of high-quality companies. His investment strategy has shifted slightly over time. However, his approach of putting value at the forefront has led to his Berkshire Hathaway portfolio generating an average 19.8% annualised return since 1965.  Even after an impressive double-digit rally over the last 12 months, there remains plenty of underappreciated businesses in the stock market both in the UK and abroad.
