Block (NYSE:) reported third-quarter earnings that met expectations, but revenue fell short of analyst estimates. The stock initially fell 10% but those losses were reduced to around 3% in premarket trading Friday.  The financial technology company, formerly known as Square, reported adjusted earnings per share of $0.88, in line with analyst projections. SINGAPORE/SHANGHAI (Reuters) – China top legislative body approved a bill on Friday to allow local governments to issue 6 trillion yuan ($838.8 billion) in bonds to swap for off-balance sheet or “hidden” debt over three years, as policymakers sought to spur the sluggish economy.
